Nashville Fashion Week Schedule

Next week is Nashville Fashion Week. This is the 2nd year for this event to happen in Nashville. I went to majority of the events last year and had a good fashion-filled time. The fashion shows were high quality. I totally loved the parties and the local events at the malls and boutiques. Hopefully, this year will be just as fun. I am crossing my fingers that I will be able to cover the event. I guess I will find out before next Tuesday.

According to the Nashville Fashion Week website, the following is the lineup for the shows.

Nashville Fashion Week will consist of 5 nightly fashion shows featuring more than 20 designers. Line-up and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30pm at Marathon Music Works, 1402 Clinton Street, Nashville featuring Valentine Valentine, by SMITH, T. Rains. Doors open at 7:00pm.

Saturday, March 24 at 8:00pm at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place, 150 3rd Avenue South, Nashville featuring Jamie and the Jones, Kal Rieman, Sylvia Heisel, Magid Bernard, Randi Rahm. Doors open at 7:30pm.

These are the events that I am looking forward to attending:

Tuesday, March 20th

  • Opening Night is always a big deal. It usually sets the tone for the rest of the week’s events.
  • The Opening Night After party at Virago seems like a sure bet. I always have a great time at parties there. You can only attend the party if you attended the fashion show. This is a major difference from last year, when you could attend the parties without having to purchase a fashion show ticket.

  • There are local boutique events throughout the day.

-H. Audrey is having a Sip, See and Shop 2012” – Ethereal by Sarah Richey Trunk Show. Celebrate spring with Prosecco and register to win a $200 H. Audrey gift card.

-Roya Boutique is allowing guests to enjoy a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres as you shop. 50% off all jewelry. Enter to win door prizes and receive personal style tips from Roya Boutique buyers & owners.

-Plucky is hosting it’s Plucky Launch Party. Nibbles and champagne tasting by The Wine Shoppe at Green Hills. Dress to mingle. RSVP to hello@shopplucky.com.

Wednesday, March 21st

The fashion show will be at Marathon Music Works.

Wednesday seems a little tame. There is not a schedule/announced after party. But, there are several of boutique events throughout the day.

-UAL is having a 20% off any item sale.

-Atelier Jewelry is having “Rock of Ages” – Celebrate fashion and excellence in design. Live models will showcase their latest jewelry creations, including the new Rock of Ages collection. Cocktails and hors d’oervres will be served.

Thursday, March 22nd

During the day on Thursday, there will be a series of Industry Panel Sessions. All are free to the public and should be very informative. The topics are “Producing the Goods”, “What Makes a Brand”, and “Southern Fashion Now”.

There will also be boutique events as well.

– Jonde is having a “Spring Styling Event” – Personal styling, presentations, give-aways and discounts. Light refreshments will be provided.

Friday, March 23rd

The fashion show this night should be amazing. It will be at The Parthenon. The location is a local treasure and I would love to see how they plan to transform this into a runway.

There will also be boutique events as well.

-Manuel is hosting “Our Doors Are Always Open at Manuel’s” – Stop by and enjoy displays by Manuel. Enter to win a Manuel gift basket valued at $85. Serving cheese and wine all day.

-Over in East Nashville, there will be a Hardwear Merry Jewelry Trunk Show.

Visit Alegria, Goodbuy Girls and Moss at the 1108 The Rodeo Drive Shops and get a card punched at all three to be eligible to win a gift certificate for use at any of the stores. Drinks and snacks will be served.

-Over in Cummins Station, there will be the “Margaret Ellis Show and Tell” – View the latest collection and visit with Margaret Ellis in her studio. Champagne will be served. Prizes and fun for all. Free parking in the lot across from Cummins Station.

-Wear it Out Manuel is hosting it’s “2nd Annual Wine Friday @Wear It Out Manuel – Presented by Doll House The Agency” –Enjoy complimentary wine as you mix and mingle with Nashville’s finest in fashion. Meet designer Manny Cuevas. Special celebrity guest and international coverage. Live models, door prizes and special discounts.

Saturday, March 24th

Tim Gunn will be at Green Hills Mall at 1:00pm. I am sure that it will be crowded.

The Closing Night Party should be a real treat. It is going to be styled and catered by Arnold Myint from the Top Chef. He did a wonderful job last year on the parties and the food.

The Fashion Show and the after party is going to be at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place which is a beautiful space.

The final day of boutique events seem kinda slim for a Saturday. I am sure there will be plenty of people wanting to visit the stores and boutiques on this day.
