If you love cocktails, then you would love this event:

The Art of Corsair Distillery

Date:  April 5, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.

Location: War Memorial Auditorium

Corsair Artisan Distillery is a small craft spirits company with distilleries in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee, founded by Nashville natives Darek Bell and Andrew Webber. They make very small batches of spirits, just a few cases at a time, in pot stills. With everything being done by hand, from production to bottling, Corsair is able to provide interesting and flavorful spirits: Vanilla Bean Vodka, Spiced Rum, Red Absinthe, Wry Moon Unaged Rye Whiskey, and more. At The Art of Corsair Distillery, we’ll taste some of their latest batches of spirits and learn recipes to make tasty cocktails.

One event that I can’t wait until is the Country Music Marathon. It benefits Memphis’ St. Jude Hospital and I was a donor this year. One of my bffs is running in the race for the second time. So that means that I get to have my Houston gal pal in Nashville for the weekend. The marathon is going to be held on April 28th. If you are a running type person, this marathon will be a easy and fun trek for you. Keep your eye on the events that will be held leading up to the actual run. I know last year there was a post run concert that had some of the top singers in country music performing.

Jack Daniels Studio 7 is having an event in April.

Date: April 05, 2012

Artist: Craig Morgan

Venue: 3rd & Lindsley

818 3rd Avenue South
Nashville, TN 37210

Iron Fork is coming up again in April. I attended last year, and it was a foodie paradise.
Five of Nashville’s best local chefs battle it out in a head-to-head competition presented by US. Foods and judged by top local foodies and celebrities. Watch the live culinary contest benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and sample food from Nashville’s best restaurants at this fifth annual event – a favorite on the Music City social scene. (This is a 21-and-up event.)
Competing Chefs:
Laura Wilson, 2011 Returning Champion – Nashville Farmer’s Market
Roderick Bailey – Silly Goose
Vinny Tardo – Saffire
Jason Brumm – Merchants
Hernan Borda – Rumours East
Are you attending Steeplechase? I attended last year and scored prime seats in the Hunt Club. I am hoping that I will be able to attend again this year too. The big deal about Steeplechase is the big hats. Check out this hat shopping event at La Chique Boutique.
