30 Ways to Feel the Burn- Hot Chicken Style

I just saw a tweet that made my mouth water. I am a huge fan of Nashville’s Hot Chicken. We just got word that a group of 30 Nashville restaurants will all partner together to create a tribute to the hot chicken for their menu for a month leading up to the Hot Chicken Festival on July 4th.

What better way of getting people excited about the Hot Chicken Festival! It also allows people to check out the Nashville Originals restaurants that are here. It will be cool to see other places put their spin on the Nashville famed dish.

Here’s what the write up said:

The 2012 Hot Chicken Festival is partnering with Nashville Originals and its collection of local restaurateurs to present Hot Chicken Days: 30 Ways to Feel the Burn.

The promotion promises to turn up the heat from June 4 to July 4 when more than 30 area restaurants will be featuring their own creative take on our city’s unique dish. “Hot Chicken mania has already spread through many Nashville Originals restaurants, so we were glad for this opportunity to join together and collectively celebrate this great dish,” said Laura Hill, program coordinator for Nashville Originals.

During the month, Nashville favorite restaurants such as ChaChah, Cabana, Fido, Mambu, Noshville and Watermark to name a few will be dishing out some very creative plates in celebration of our spicy bird.   Gary McComas of The Yellow Porch, which will be serving a hot chicken appetizer during the month says “As a Nashville native going back generations, I’m thrilled for the opportunity to participate with the Festival in such a fun way.”   “The Loveless Café has always been a Nashville original, but we are proud to be a part of this effort and offer Hot Chicken on our menu to celebrate both dish and the Festival,” said Jesse Goldstein, brand manager of The Loveless Café and Hot Chicken Festival committee member.

To tempt the palate, some of the dishes offered will include: Quail Wings with Habanero Kaffir Dust, Cruze Farms Buttermilk Ranch, White Bread Pudding, Pickled Radishes at ChaCha; Bacon Wrapped Hot Chicken stuffed with Cappicola at Wild Iris; Gorgonzola Crusted Thai Chili Chicken Wing, Krystaled Red Potatoes, Cornichon Chow Chow, Crispy Celery Leaves at Holland HouseCabana will be serving up Jalapeno-Marinated Hot Chicken with Bacon Waffles and Pickled Green Tomatoes. Tayst will add Hot Pickled Chicken: Fried Pickled Chicken Chips served with Celery and American Dressing to their menu.
