Generous Helpings & Beer Fests

Are you enjoying the amazing Nashville weather this month? I sure am!!! This past weekend, I had the chance to road trip to Chattanooga to attend the Chattanooga Craft Beer Festival. I normally don’t get the chance to venture around our neighboring city much, but I am that I did. This beer fest was organized by the fine fellas from Rhizome Productions that produce many of the popular beer festivals in Nashville (East Nashville Beer Festival & Brew at the Zoo).

Music City Happenings: Booze and Foodie Heaven

Happy Friday peeps. I hope that you have had a wonderful week. This week was very busy and I am in the midst of picking fun events to try for next week.

Check out some of these hip events:

It’s $10 at the door and I love going to Holland House so I will totally check out this event.

Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin combines juniper, cucumber, lemon, sage and lavender to give it a unique flavor. An even better way to try the unique flavors of Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin is to attend this competition. With a variety of creative and talented bartenders from some of the best establishments in town, you’re guaranteed to find a style, flavor or twist that suits your fancy!

When: Wednesday, May 16th from 6-8 p.m.
Where: Holland House Bar and Refuge
How Much: $10 at the door

Another potential winner is Generous Helpings sponsored by Second Harvest Food Bank.

Generous Helpings – a tasting event featuring more than 30 locally owned restaurants – on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 5:30 pm at the Nashville Farmers’ Market. The evening will feature tastings of signature appetizers, entrees and desserts along with fine wines and beer selections from local distributors.  Entertainment will be provided by Nashville singer/songwriter, Abigail Rose.

All proceeds from the event will provide much needed funding for Middle Tennessee’s Table, Second Harvest Food Bank’s grocery rescue program. The program rescues and redistributes nearly 5 million pounds of food from more than 200 grocery stores annually including produce, dairy, protein and non-perishable food items.

Tickets for Generous Helpings are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.  Click here to purchase tickets to Generous Helpings or to learn more, call (615) 627-1611.
